Cut-off dates and priority given

Grading begins early February (where applicable), so returning players in U10/W-10 to U18/W-18 are advised to register by January 27 at the latest, regardless of intention to grade.  Returning players registering by this date have priority.  Players registering after this date risk missing out as numbers are finalised so the club can confirm the number of teams to the association.

After this date, new players that have registered will be offered available spots and further registrations will be accepted if there are spaces on a first in, first served basis.

Returning players in other junior age groups (U6-U9/W-9) are given priority over new players until February 10.  Again, registering after this date in these age groups could mean missing out as the club needs to confirm the number of teams to the association based on the number of registrations we have.

Additionally, some age groups may close to registrations early if the expected number of teams are full and we cannot see the likelihood of achieving additional teams.  It is advised that you register early to avoid disappointment and to get the savings from Early Bird and On Time discounts.

New Players

In age groups with existing teams, priority is given to our returning players.  However, after the cut-off date, we assess the number of returning players and where there is room, accept new players on a first-in, first-served basis.  We get a large number of new players each year and are able to find teams for most.

The best thing to do if you would like to join an established age group, is register early and reach out to the appropriate Age Coordinator.  We usually have some churn in teams and the Age Coordinator is likely to know where there are spaces.  Sometimes, if we get a lot of new players, we can form additional teams.  We do our best to get the majority into a team.

In the event that we cannot place a player, we let them know as soon as possible so they can try another club and we refund the registration fee.

Grading - where required

Individual grading for players from U10s/W-10s and up will commence early February at this stage.

Please click here for information about dates and times.  There is a small chance these dates may change but notice will be given by your age coordinator once you have registered to play. Please continue to check the web-site for any changes and make sure that the email address that you register with is current and monitored (and keep an eye on your junk mail).

Most grading sessions will be held at Abbott Rd, with potential for div one tryouts on synthetic depending on field allocation.

Team formation

Age coordinators will be in touch via email to advise of team formation and selection of team managers and coaches as required.

If you have a request for a particular team, please note that as a 'play with' request during the registration process and where possible we will do our best to accommodate this although there are limitations that must be observed. Team formation may not be fully completed until mid-March. Contact details for age coordinators are under Contacts.

Please consider being a Coach, Manager or Referee for a team, as the club can only function with your assistance.
